I am inspired by nature and fluid visual movement and am always looking for natural design, structure and geometry in all subjects that interest me. Every painting offers a new opportunity to try a different approach, challenge and learning experience. I strive to create imagery in my paintings that tell stories and convey feelings and emotions through the visual language, with peaceful harmony the primary attraction. My intent is to pull viewers into the image and let them rest awhile in the serenity.

My education has comprised of independent studies with select teachers throughout my life including artist/teachers Suki Diamond, E. John Robinson, Clark Mitchell and a 4 year Atelier Program with Master of Fine Art Ra Ariyamitr of Thailand, 1988 to 1992.

I own and operate www.HighlanderCelticStamps.com, designing and producing art rubber stamps of Irish, Scottish and Celtic theme images. Begun in 1997 subject images include: Irish and Scottish dancers and musicians, Celtic knotwork, heraldic devices and Clan badges, Claddaghs and Luckenbooths, dogs, words, Gaelic phrases and more.

I have been teaching fine art oil and acrylic painting since 2002.
